Projects that I will be working on
Empowering Parc Extension
Youth Development Center (18+)Youth violence and recruitment are rising while safe places for young adults are disappearing. After eighteen, too many in Parc-Extension have nowhere to go in the evening, no mentors to call, and no paid pathways into real work.My plan is to create a city backed Youth Development Center for ages 18 to 29 in Parc-Extension, a safe and welcoming space focused on skills, jobs, and stability. We will open during high-risk hours, from late afternoon into the evening and on weekends, so young people have a place to be, to learn, and to grow.
Community Grocery Store: Affordable Food, Local Jobs
Groceries are out of control. In Parc-Extension, prices keep rising faster than paycheques and families are running out of options close to home.My plan is to create a city backed community grocery focused on low prices, not profit. By using a city space or a long, low rent lease and reducing property taxes, we cut overhead and pass savings to shoppers. We will buy at wholesale, centralize storage, delivery, and purchasing, and work with local partners for Quebec produce, food rescue supply, and culturally familiar staples. This store will create local jobs and paid youth apprenticeships in food handling and retail operations so young adults earn skills and income in the neighborhood.
